Description: The Learning Potential Fund provides support through scholarships and bursaries to students in financial need.
Ms Nina Alahakoon and Dr Hamid Amini-Moghadam established this Learning Potential Fund Scholarship in 2022 to support international students experiencing financial challenges to complete their undergraduate degrees to the best of their ability. As students who came from overseas to study here in Australia, Nina and Hamid know first-hand the challenges faced by international students during their studies.
Eligibility:
To be eligible, you must be:
- a current or future international student undertaking an undergraduate, postgraduate or research qualification
- from a low-income household
- experiencing financial hardship.
This scholarship is not available to:
- single-unit study students – studying an individual unit at QUT, but not enrolled in a QUT course
- cross-institutional students – enrolled in a course at another university, but studying specific units at QUT and receiving credit towards your course at the other university
- QUT College students – studying one of the pathway programs offered by our international college, including foundation courses, university diplomas and English language courses.
