Description:

The prestigious Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Cambridge was established in 2022 as a collaboration between the University and the Mastercard Foundation. Over 500 Scholars from the African continent will be enrolled in the program between 2023 and 2030 to undertake a wide range of Master’s courses. 

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program  would provide bright students from under-represented communities in Africa with a fully funded opportunity to complete their Master’s training, develop transformative leadership skills and contribute to climate resilience and sustainable futures in Africa. Ultimately, the mission of the  Mastercard foundation Scholars program at the University of Cambridge is to contribute to the development of a transformative network of young people, critical to driving sustainable change. 

Eligibility:

To qualify for the scholarship, candidates:

· Must be citizens of an African country.

· Must be resident in an African country, unless they can show temporary absence for study or work, except they are displaced or have refugee status.

· Must be applying for a master’s course of up to one year in length, at the University of Cambridge.

· Must meet the academic requirement of the course for which they are applying.
